WISDOM FOR WEIRD & WONDERFUL GOD ENCOUNTERS

On Sunday, August 3rd, we gathered again in the Underground for our third Wisdom for Weird & Wonderful God Encounters session—a safe, encouraging space where Prophetic People and People who are Hungry grow together in hearing and responding to God’s voice. We pressed into Ephesians 4’s vision of one body, one Spirit, and talked about how the prophetic in a New Covenant church equips the saints and builds unity—not just on a stage, but across everyday life and relationships.
We shared real stories from the room: simple prayers of stillness like the Jesus Prayer that open our hearts to God’s presence; using imagination with the Holy Spirit to receive direction or minister healing; the “24/7” conversation with God throughout ordinary moments; new expectations for “more” as subtle signs (like unexpected feathers) spark faith; catching glimpses of Jesus’ joy in corporate worship; feeling the Father’s compassion for people during ministry; and powerful identity moments where God speaks a new name that reframes how we see ourselves and others.
As always, we’re practicing our three values in plain language:
Accessibility — We’re all made in God’s image, hard-wired to hear and respond to His voice.
Accountability — Each person discerns what God might be saying through Scripture and biblical community.
Diversity — God speaks in many ways, so we don’t have to look or sound the same to walk faithfully with Him.
And we continue using our simple rhythm: Normalize the encounter (share it), Contextualize it (test it by the Word and wise counsel), then Weaponize it (apply it in prayer, obedience, and love).

If something stands out as you listen, share it with a friend or bring it to our next gathering. We’re discovering together the “weird & wonderful” ways God is moving among us—and learning to respond with wisdom, humility, and love.
