Session 4 - Wisdom for Weird & Wonderful God Encounters —(Sept 7, 2025)
A safe, encouraging space for Prophetic People (including mystics and prophets) and People who are Hungry to hear and respond to God’s voice—and to share real stories of God encounters together.
What we revisited
Last month we sensed the Lord saying, “Come out of your caves.” In this session I modeled that word by sharing part of my own journey—what “coming out” looks like in real life, and how my understanding of the Prophet has shifted from an Old Covenant authority model to a New Covenant Ephesians 4 model that equips, unifies, and builds up the church.
The role of the prophet (New Covenant highlights)
Equip & unify (Eph. 4:11–16): Prophets help equip the saints, bring unity of the faith, and add stability—not control.
Truth in love: The aim is maturity in Christ, speaking truth in love that strengthens the whole body.
Multiply, not monopolize: Anyone can prophesy (gift of the Spirit), while the office of prophet (gift of Christ) exists to model and multiply hearing God—so the many are activated, not just the few.
Accountable & biblical: We test impressions by Scripture and in healthy community, holding a culture of fallibility with humility and courage.
Diverse expressions: God speaks through Scripture, whispers, dreams, impressions, even unusual signs. We don’t have to look or sound alike to be faithful.
A story worth sharing
We also told fresh testimonies—including one from someone I met recently whose grandfather received three gold teeth during a simple prayer at church. There wasn’t hype—just a quiet moment that became a profound sign for a grieving family. We can’t manufacture outcomes, but we do step out in faith and let God be God.
Our rhythm, again
Normalize → Contextualize → Weaponize
Normalize: Tell the story so others know what’s possible.
Contextualize: Weigh it with Scripture and wise community.
Weaponize: Act on it—pray, obey, love—so fruit shows up in everyday life.
Our three values (in plain language)
Accessibility: We’re made in God’s image—hard-wired to hear and respond to His voice.
Accountability: Each person discerns with Scripture and biblical community.
Diversity: God speaks in many ways; we don’t have to copy anyone else.

Listen now
If the Lord highlights something as you listen, share it with a friend—or bring it to our next gathering. Let’s keep coming out of our caves and growing together in the “weird & wonderful” ways God is moving among us.
